We are delighted to announce that Janet Walsh of New Ross BC is May’s Volunteer of the Month.
Janet is the Head Coach of New Ross BC, where she has created successful rowing programs for novices, introducing rowing to adults in her community and significantly growing the club’s membership. Under her guidance, many of her crews have achieved international success and she has also coached international squads for the Home International Regatta, the Coupe de la Jeunesse, and the World Championships.
Janet has inspired countless individuals to take up rowing and coaching roles within her club. Her unwavering commitment to the sport and her athletes goes above and beyond what is expected of any volunteer. She never stops working to improve rowing at every level and her dedication has been instrumental in fostering a supportive and thriving rowing community.
