We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who entered the Skibbereen Head of the River. Unfortunately, due to the forecasted strong easterly winds this weekend, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the event scheduled for this Sunday.
Safety is always our top priority, and given the expected conditions, it would not be possible to run the event safely. We understand this is disappointing for athletes, coaches, and clubs, and we appreciate your understanding.
We hope to see you all at the Skibbereen Regatta next month, where we look forward to great racing—and hopefully better weather!
